Nicholas is a British writer based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. He grew up in Macclesfield, Cheshire.

Short fiction publications include the New England Review, The Brixton Review of Books, The Moth, The London Magazine, Short Fiction Journal, and elsewhere.​

His short story 'Close Your Eyes' won the 2024 Aesthetica Creative Writing Award. His fiction has also placed in the Short Fiction Journal, Fish Publishing and London Magazine short story prizes. Prize listings include the Sunday Times Audible Short Story Award, the Galley Beggar Press Short Story Prize, the Desperate Literature Short Story Prize, the Bath Short Story Award, and the Bristol Short Story Prize.
